UCLA Men’s Water Polo is going to play “USC” for the National Championship

OK, so this isn't the game against UCSD, but you find some UCLA Men's Water Polo photos easily!

UCLA’s Water Polo team obliterated UCSD — our friends from down south — by a score of 10-1.

Well, it wasn’t as much of an obliteration as it was a dominating effort that got going really late in the game.

As the Daily Bruin reports, the game was really slow. The first half finished with a score of 4-1, where four of those goals (one from UCSD, four from the Bruins).

Of course, UCLA exploded late in the game in the third quarter to go up 9-1, essentially closing out the Tritons early to focus on their next opponents: U$C.

Incredibly, this is the fourth time UCLA will play U$C this season. The first two contests saw  UCLA fall to $C in close matchups (with scores of 10-8 and 9-6). The last game these two played? It was for the conference title, last week, where UCLA beat $C 10-9 in overtime.

So what’s at stake? A national title, as this is the NCAA tournament. U$C has apparently won the national title four times in a row, but there is no word on whether the school has injected steroids or genetic traits common in fish into their players. Given that school’s track record, who knows?

UCLA is currently riding a four-game win streak, with their last loss coming to U$C.

Get ’em, Bruins!
